Blizzard has announced that the newest expansion will be delayed, and player feedback has helped to make this a reality. Over past expansions we have seen unfinished and unpolished releases riddled with bugs and faulty systems. Wanting to have better balance in the newest release, John Hight, Executive Producer of World of Warcraft stated, “It’s become clear we need a little more time for additional polish, and to balance and iterate on some interlocking pieces—particularly those related to the endgame. Shadowlands is one of the most intricate expansions we’ve yet created…” He also emphasized that, “Blizzard has a commitment to quality. We believe Shadowlands will be something special, and we’ve heard from many of you who feel the same. We need this extra time to ensure that Shadowlands lives up to its full potential.”

For many players this is great news; the player base feels that their concerns have been heard and Blizzard is restoring faith in the community with this move.  Whether you agree or are just ready for BFA to be over, one thing is certain, they are not looking to repeat past mistakes, and for that you cannot fault them delaying the release.

If you were able to get ahold of a BETA key and have had the opportunity to play the game in its current state, what are your thoughts and what changes do you expect to see in the coming weeks?
